Every day, I think a lot, and as a result, I find that I have a lot to write about, but when I log in to WordPress, I can’t seem to organise the thoughts into anything writable.
It’s puzzling.
Anyways, Dare You To Move 2007 is in 6 days time!
It seems like such a long while since we’ve started practising for this gig, starting off with over twenty songs on the songlist, including Get Down and Leaving 99 by Audio Adrenaline and This Is Your Life by Switchfoot.
We thought we were getting there, hit a wall, tried harder again, hit another wall, and eventually, here we are, six months later, with the finalised list of songs.
As hard as it was, the only reason why we made it is by God’s grace. Despite all the times where some, if not all of us, had emotionally down times, all we had to do was hold on. God is faithful; He made a way, and I believe He will continue his faithfulness through to the end of the gig.
I’m very encouraged by all the people who came down to Ben & Jerry’s to support us, especially those outside of the band & comm who sang along. Thank you all for coming. It means a lot to me, and I’m sure it means a lot to the rest of the band too.
Remember to come for the Preview Show, this Thursday (30th Aug), at 7:30pm, in the chapel. Also, please try your best to come for the R-ageberry Jam, this Friday (31st Aug), at 7:15pm, where we will be praying for the gig. There is power in prayer. (:
In closing, I leave you with this song, that really reflects how I held on, despite setbacks and shortcomings, and God made all things right.
Hold On To You (Chorus) – FhLY
Hold on to You
All I gotta do is hold on to You
Faith over feelings
You’ll be there beside me
Hold on to You
All I gotta do is hold on to You
“There’s nothing to fear, child
I’ll be there for you”
