If this is ministry, then I think I want out.

Oblivious.

I seriously cannot stand it when people occupy a whole escalator or walkway. I wonder what goes through these peoples’ minds as you’re walking along a sidewalk, and along they come, in the opposite direction, blocking the WHOLE sidewalk, no less.

How many trains and buses have I missed because such people are simply oblivious to what’s going on around them. As long as they’re comfortable, nothing else really matters. Moral education teaches us to be considerate citizens, but methinks moral education is a epic phail in Singapore.

Auntyology

You have seen them everywhere. They are on the buses. They are on the MRT. They are in your supermarkets and convenience stores. They are in your bus and train queues.

They are the aunties of Singapore, and they personify kiasuism. It simply amazes me how anyone can possibly cut a queue so shamelessly, just to be the first to board a bus or train, and while I write this with my tongue in cheek, it must be said that no one is immune to the system of law and order.

Ever had an experience queueing for a bus at the interchange and some auntie just goes to the head of the queue when the bus arrives for boarding?

I just did, and I’m sick of how they regard themselves as being above the rules an regulations set in place to make the world a more orderly place.

But, because I am too kind-mannered, I did not yell at her or tell her off. Yet it annoys me all the same. I say aunties should not be spared the telling off. It’s time to wake them up and let them know it’s wrong, and simply impolite to cut the queue.

Just a few hours ago, I played my last service, had my last dinner, spoke my last words, took my last breaths…

of the 20th year of my life.

Demand Vs. Supply

Posted in Uncategorised. on March 12, 2009 by caleb.

A certain bus company seriously needs to rethink their deployment of buses if they think deploying single deck buses in place of double deck ones at the same frequency is going to meet the needs of the peak hour crowd.

Rekording.

Posted in Uncategorised. on March 12, 2009 by caleb.

Please pray for me. I’m down with a stomach upset now, and I have recording tomorrow (Thursday).

On a related note, I’m looking for a long term drum tech that can commit to the entire recording process (probably until June or July). You will only need to be down on days of recording, or possibly the day before the recording date, and no prior experience is required; just an interest and willingness to learn. :)

Hi all,

Just another quick update to let you all know that I’m still alive and I can type with all eight fingers and two thumbs (though I hardly use my right thumb to type).

I’ve done a slight revamp on my wishlist page, seeing as my birthday is coming (in less than a week!). Don’t worry if you can’t get anything. Your well-wishes and blessings are enough. (:

I’ve also got a new page that I’m experimenting with using as a portfolio page. It’s got a nice graphic user interface (GUI) and can display images full-screen. I like. Go big. Hehe. Check it out here.

Till next time, people. Ciao.
