Wishes.

Human dissatisfaction. That’s the reason behind wishes. I know, but yet, I realise sometimes wishes come true, and sometimes they don’t.
So, more importantly, what is it that I can only wish for? What is it that money itself cannot acquire?
A good meal with friends. I’ve been on a few of these, and not regretted a single one. Good food and good company – one of the simplest pleasures, really.
Hanging out with good friends.
Going for a good movie.
Strengthen existing friendships, make new ones, and reconcile lost ones. It never hurts to have more friends, and it certainly never hurts to have more good friends.
Then, there is the material side of things. (Hey, I need gear, okay.)
A new wallet. Something with a coin pouch, please, and no velcro. Hehe.
A new wireless mouse. My current one is dead. This Logitech mouse is really quite nice.
New drumsticks and brushes. I like Vic Firth 85As (and mine keep breaking, so I always need new sticks), and Vic Firth brushes.
As I mentioned (somewhere else on this blog), thoughtful gifts are the most meaningful. The fact that I’m thought of and loved, when shown through a simple, thoughtful gift, or a simple, meaningful, (maybe even handwritten) card, is more than enough to make me smile.
